setting seat memory

move seat, side mirrors, and pedals to desired position, press the set control. the set control light will briefly light up,while light is lite press control 1. repeat the steps for the other seat. activating/deactivating the memory feature on your remote transmitter, ignition switch is in off position, doors and liftgate window closed, the following steps must be done within 30 seconds or you will have to preform these steps over. step 1, turn ignition key on. step2, press the power door unlock control three times. step 3, turn ignition key from on to off. step 4, press the power door unlock control 3 times. step 5, turn the ignition back on, the horn will chirp. step 6, press the power door unlock control 2 times, then press the power lock control once. the horn will chirp twice if the memory feature was deactivated or 3 times (2 short a n one long) if the memory feature was activated. step 7, turn ignition to off, the horn will chirp once to confirm the procedure is complete. I hope this helps, I too have a 2001, I took this out of the owners manual.DO STEPS 1-7 WITHIN 30 SECONDS OR IT WON'T TAKE.
