so Jason, did you ever figure out a name for your truck? names can be so tough to figure out. by the way, whose truck is that in your post, that shows how you want your truck to look like. it is sweet. im sure someone is proud of owning & driving that one. peace
Not sure what name you should bestow upon it ... But I do have a question ... Since you are planning on spending $ 7,000 + on the engine ... Why not a new crate diesel ... Then a pair of Banks turbos and a snorkel kit to help it breath in the deepest mud\water environments? ... I am a bit biased towards diesels because of the torque, and that is what is needed in "situations" ...
My girl friend used to call my old 1/2 ton "The Truck From Hell". Call yours "Henry", after the guy who started it all. Let us know what you come up with.
My first truck, when I was 15, was my dad's '76 F-250 "SHERMAN". It was unstopable in mud or snow.
In high school I drove my dad's truck ('78 f-150 300 I6 4 speed 4.11 LS heavy springs). That thing would do about any thing. My buddy named it Sherman.
Then 4 years later my little brother got it and class used it for there senior float at homecomming. They NAILED plywood to the sides and made it look like a tank!! I guess the name stuck with the truck. That was the best truck ever.

I kept the name that my Dad gave mine..."Old Henry" ... it just fits.
I belive the name has to fit for you and the personality of the truck, and Yes I do believe that every vehicle has it's own personality.
