'51/'52 dash picture?
Hi, all - I am looking for a good picture of the dash on a '51/'52 truck in their gallery, especially the area around the radio, and would be great!!! if it had a stock radio in it, that would be even better! I'm at work, or would look at mine, but I need it tonight, before I get home....
or, just a picture, if it's not in your gallery....
Thanks in advance!

Nowwaitaminute!! When I looked, it had a truck, and a satelite dish....now, it's different!
disregard my last.
Yeah, you're right, can't see what I'm looking for .... that's typical of most of the pictures I've found in galleries - taken from the driver's door, radio hidden...frustrating!

Yeah, need a direct-on...trying to decide if it's worth modifying the dash for a radio, that's "close" to the correct - the "correct" radio, people are pretty darn proud of. I might end up sticking with the delete, mounting something new under the seat, etc. But would be nice to have a radio, plugging the hole, even if it doesn't work.

Here you can see how the '52 dash looks when hacked up to fit an "all-transistor" early '60's Plymouth AM radio. Thanks a bunch, Mr. PO! Note that when you open up the stock opnening, you lose two lower stud that hold the radio grille to the dash, so you have to run a couple of mis-matched sheet metal screws thru the grille....
I hate that this happened to mine, but at least I can fit any two modern CD players in the opening, and probably a CD plus an oil pressure gauge. (Maybe I can use plywood???)
Thius the look you're going for?!

No, another idea comes to mind...however, as I have seen before, when an idea gets out, if it happens to be a good one, with a link to 'bay, then suddenly EVERYone has to have one, and the price goes through the roof!! That's one of the problems with posting "good" finds here, it becomes suddenly Barrett Jackson!
Kinda like the lining for the parking brake on the F-2. The link on eBay was correct, but I was concerned that if I said it WAS right, before the auction ended, I wouldn't have gotten it for $10. Suddenly, possibly everyone with an F2, that needed the lining, would be all over it. This is kinda like that...

You might be able to as the face is about the same. However, you will have the radio interfere with the stock speaker location.
Take a look at the pictures below of the stock radio. Note that the top case is flat, while the bottom is protruding. The face is similar, but the lower corners are more round (around the push buttons).

Yeah, I see that the bottom of the buttons are more squared-off - that was my concern, that's why I needed pics. I'd have to square the corner in the truck. And if I did, it would take some work to round them, if I found a stock radio later. I'm not too worried about the physical top or bottom, as I can "modify" it (the radio itself), I don't intend to find a working one, anyway. If anything, I'd just get lights working. I might even put new guts in an old radio - push buttons wouldn't work, of course, but would have sound, and probably the ***** might work.
thanks!!
