4.2 Drive me NUTS

1999...E-150 Van......190,000 miles.....I have done everything to this thing and it still has a miss or something. NEW, Coil, Plugs, Wires, EGR Valve, EGR Sensor.....First I hear a small backfire in the morning when it starts, next slight hesitation at take off and a bucking at 40 with backfire, next going down the road at 65 engines backfires and the engine cuts out completely. When I pull over it starts back up. I disconected the 2 vacum lines to the EGR sensor and dang at take off it poops and gets BUT it still bucks and backfires (something to the sort) at 50-60.
Anybody out there have had this problem????????????????
OH, and it sound like an arcing sound real tinny when I give it gas at about 50 - on up mph. constant tinny crackling sound..............knock sensor???????

Fuel filter been changed?
Was it having the problem before all the new stuff was installed?

Yes, it had a broken valve spring 2 cyl for about a year I ran it. Until the light went on......and figured out it didn't need a engine like Ford told me it did. Yes i replaced fuel filter oh 3 years ago.

Sounds like a MAF sensor or something to that effect. A bad one will make you run lean. Are your plugs white?

Yes plugs white checked 2 weeks ago. I have a new MAF sensor sitting here, my question,if it was OK before the spring break, what would make it fail after the spring break.

Sounds like a mess. You could get the fuel pressure checked at the fuel rail just to see if it's getting adequate gas supply.
And maybe 3 years is a wee bit long between fuel filter changes,
I'd replace it just to eliminate that as a possibility.
