Oil System Modification

All,
Thanks in advance. I saw a few pics on the internet of an oil system mod done to a 460. It included drilling holes through the cylinder head and block at an angle into the front timing chain cover to help lubrication. It also showed opening up the rear oil holes for faster drain back. Does anyone know what site that is or has anyone done these mods? Are there any better mods to the 460 oil system other than these?

Bob

Other than a tight rebuilt motor, block cleaned and oil passages!, a high volume pump will have almost the best oiling.

The only timing chain lub way I heard was the plugs at the galley next to the side of the cam. Some people drill a tiny hole in the plug and its sprays oil out onto the chain to keep it very lubricated.

The drain back is really only needed if its a high revving motor. They say that because a HV oil pump will run the pan dry. But figure only doing that past 5000rpm for LONG periodes of time.

Ive personally never expierience it. I run my 351 windsor with a high voume pump up to 5500rpm and hasnt ran it dry. Stock pan.
