but proof is what we are after...hook up with someone on here and take them for a 100 mile ride to prove yourself. If you take me for 100 mile ride and get almost 30mpg, I will more than pay for the gas we just wasted.

IF....

Hey, 6686L, care to make a wager? I'll wage the cost of my fuel cell ($1066) that Ford announces an affiliation with Dutchman (the maker of the Fuel Cell and PICC) with in the year? I'm talking cash money, not trading fuel cells ( I wouldn't give it up for $3000).

Your invited to put your money where your mouth is too Fosters.
1. Proof of Ford backing this one... this should be interesting.

2. No I don't feel like a dumb a$$, in fact, if you indeed bought one of those, I feel a lot smarter than you.

3. I'll wager this: If you go to a dyno, and post before and after sheets of the air/fuel ratio readings (system on/off), and

4. As mentioned above, if you take someone with other than a post count in the single digits for a ride, and you get 30mpg,

If those last two check out, I will buy one of those systems tomorrow...

As far as I see it, I don't need to put my money where my mouth is; that's what all of these companies are counting on, a few idiots buying in the hype.

Look, I'm a small business owner. I don't have an expensive fancy truck, it's just a work truck (mighty fine looking truck). I don't make 6 figures but I do drive to each job I have. That means gas and lots of it. I don't need you to believe me when I say this product works, frankly I don't care if you do believe me.

If you are looking for some insite from a guy who's been there and done that, I'm the man. If you want the proof, I'll give it to you. If you need a test drive, give me a call and we'll go.

But don't sit here and make posts about snake oil and such. If you have a genuine comment or question that will add to the exploration of the topic please post it.

Oh, and I still back that bet I posted. I might as well make some money from the nay sayers with their big dollar SUV's and mach 1 mustangs.....

100 mpg in an Excursion

To answer the original question "Is it possible for an Excursion to get 100 mpg."
The answer is:
NO

But it is possible for a 2003 Excurision Limited V-10 4x4 to get 15.4 mpg on a 30 mile trip down the Interstate. Although I usually average 12.3. This is actually about what I expected when I purchased mine and actually on the high side of my expectations.
If you want 30 mpg then the Excursion is the wrong SUV for you.

If you want the King Of SUV's then the Excursion is it.

Sorry but thats the way it is....................:confuse d:

HTRF150, I challenge you to a 'mileage off' in our trucks.. I guarantee I get more mpg of dino fuel than you and my truck weighs a lot more My alternative fuel is better than yours!

All right, I have put a thread on the Tennessee Chapters forum to help prove this claim. We will see if anyone bites.

http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/77...ml#post6558332

Surely someone from that area can help prove this and put it to rest, if that is possible.

Your on mr Wilson & Co.... I think to be fair, we should drive the same test track. What state are you from? I suppose we can meet in the middle, or should I come to you? By the way, If we did a cross contry, would you have to carry all your fuel with you? I would only need a jug of distilled water at most. Not to brag... I would like to keep it friendly. Really sounds like fun.

I'm from TN by the way (suppose Nashville gives it away).

SWEET!!!

I am less than 100 miles south of you. Have a trailer? Come on down and get me...we will load a small motorcycle and head back to your house. If we can make back to your house with 3 gallons....I will pay....that would be 30 miles per gallon give or take...I will even give you up to 4 gallons if we are 100 miles apart with the trailer...****..the bike would fit in the back of a pick up (even a ranger)...You do not even have to leave the state. I will meet you in Ardmore, TN.

I will take $1 donations to help sponsor the event. At 4 gallons at $4 per, we are only talkin $16. There are that many people subcribed to this thread...it could be a 2 for 1...If I (WE) lose, we will pay both of your trips...$32...

Can you smell what the ROCK is cookin? A full plate of BS.....

Ok, I don't mind doing the test ride. The bet has nothing to do with the test ride, so quit tring to start a fight that I will finish (pow, bamb @#$@).

If you want to meet me after school, 3:15 on the playground.... buzz off.

If you would like to see system work or fail via a test ride, I'm willing to show you. So, unless you have a real question about the HAFC, setting up a time/place and plan to do a test ride or a better solution you've tried, please don't apply.

Once again, the bet dosen't involve the test ride. I've simply tried this new technology and I'm willing to allow you to see it work. Don't beat me up trying to prove some point, if your wrong... and admit it... you'll be the next to get beaten up on by the group.

So, I still don't have an email from a user close enough to go for a test ride. If your really interested in going for a test ride, feel free to email me and we'll set up a time, date and report the results to the group.
