if it stays closed then pull over and give the linkage a tap, then disconnect it and forget it is even on there unless you really want it then you can get a new pedastool

i realized that after i re-read your post. its been a long week, i havent had a day off in a while and been doin 14 hour shifts and i have to work through this weekend too, i typed before i thought again

In my defense that was after I removed my smoked turbo and used can of brake cleaner on the pedestal! but i bet its still that clean!!

If that sucker sticks. Go home fit your sawzall with a nice sharp blade and gut that sucker!! then remove your turbo and cut the actuator off and weld that baby up!! Done deal! trucks warms up just like it always does, power doesn't magically go away when its cold and them oil leaks don't come from the pedestal no more!!

or just take the 2 second fix and unplug it at the connector

Its just a POS system!
Go figure engineers!
Will agree that most fail on the oil side. An SS sleave could fix that. But not worth the effort.

On a side note (hasn't that been the last two pages.... ) I am curious to see what happens to the pressure sensors on the 6.4 for the DPF

Rick you know how I am! If that pedestal were exposed and could be seen it would be reworked!! Actually with those pics it is exposed to be seen.
