How not to do stacks.

These are way to big, even for me. The fire is pretty sweet though.

Way too big and tall. They would look better if they were shortened up two feet.

Your stacks look better scycostang.

There is a dummy running around here with some about that big on a '01 F350 . I like stacks, but those are just too much.

I can not understand these truck drivers with giant double stack trucks running
around who the hell wants to run 500 miles a day listening to that racket?? If it
was a 2 stroke 6-71 maybe I could listen to that all day. But give me a passenger
side stack or a grass burner anyday. Yes I am a one stack MACK lover and proud
of it!! All USA!! No Paccar crapcar for me that's why they run wide open big stacks
so all you concentrate on is the noise and not the vibration loosening huck pins and
their inability to speed shift without grindage!! Now speed shifting with the jake brake
on does sound good and for sure lets em know you are coming!! too bad many college
graduate drivers can't do it!!

Those big stacks are just a larger version of the megaphone exhaust tips almost everyone on here runs. While I will agree that a strong Detriot sounds good, so does a turned up Cat running through dual 10" straights.

I dont know why someone would want to speed shift one of those big trannys though. Shifting with the Jake in betweeen seems counterproductive too.

Jake shifting is the only way sometimes. Try shifting at 90k lb on a 17% grade. You'll see the point

Hmm, point made. I see it done all the time just for noise though. Nice to see it can have a reason.

Probably has propane injection into the stacks with a spark plug to ignite it.
