EGR stands for exhaust gas recirculation and it is a valve that sits on top of the engine just in front of the fuel filter that allows exhaust to recirculate back into the intake of the engine. It is not a real cheap item from ford if you have to buy one. The ICP is a pain to get to and it is located at the back of the engine behind the turbo between the Y pipe that is for early build only.
