I have a superchip on my 7.3 Powerstroke already but i hear alot of great reviews on the DP tuner. Would the power gains be worth the money to swap out the superchip for the DP? Also, do you only buy the tunes you want? Which of the available tunes do you guys reccommend. I want the most power i can get for street driving but also haul sometimes too. What do you guys reccommend?

I went from a Superchip to a DP Tuner with the following: 1. Stock, 2. 60hp tow, 3. 80hp econo. You can add as many tunes as you have $$$$ but I figured these three were best for what I wanted.
The DP Tuner is a L O T better than the Superchip tuner IMHO. My truck would throw codes during hard acceleration with the Superchip in tow performance and performance mode. Plus my EGT's were higher than I liked when towing our TT with the superchip. After adding the DP Tuner I get no more code and MUCH better performance plus my EGT's are lower when towing.
If you go with a DP Tuner you won't be dissatisfied. Call Jody at DP and tell him what you want to do with your truck and he will make some suggestions. You can then decide what is right for you.
Good luck,

I can back up what Red Monkey said. I too have the DP with the exact same settings except that I also have "120hp race". Jody is extremely helpful in helping you choose what to get. You can always have tunes added later, and he did not pressure me to buy any more than what I wanted.
I don't know much about the dp-tuner as the favored for the 6.0 is the SCT with custom tunes, however, I do believe no matter which tuning platform you use, custom tuning(or custom anything) really seems to deliver the most benefit then the one size fits all type of approach(more times then not).
I just rescently purchased an 02 X and started to buy performance parts. I am looking into the DP also with all the hype on the sites here. Seems just to simple to intall and work with. It doesn't look to big on the dash.

It is amazingly easy to instal. It is not just hype it really is great, and Jody can help you through your decisions. They have great customer support.
Yes, it's way worth it. Put in my Dp two weeks ago and love it. I didn't buy the Over Boost accessory and haven't had any problems. I got 40,60,80tow, 80 economy and 120 race. Used to see 12-12.7 mpg around town/highway. Got back from a 1500 mile (highway) trip and saw 16.3 mpg. No B.S.
I had the 80 economy setting on the whole way. Didn't hot dog but I did floor it a half dozen times or so passing on the highway. Drove between 67-75mph (2000-2300rpm).
I also have the DP-Tuner with Stock/60t/80e. Drive with the 80e setting 90% of the time. It makes my truck (F350 CC LB) drive like a car. I get 16-17mpg interstate unloaded. In reality the economy gains from the 80e are fairly small, but it's nice to be able to get up to speed from a full stop fairly quickly.
Towing my Jeep+trailer at about 6500lbs with the 40t I get 13-14 mpg depending on the terrain.
I started with a super chip then moveed to adp tuner a year ago and haven't lookde back. However, last night I pulled my dp to run a superchips programmer that a friend of mine was testing out. My opinion remains unchanged, the superchip does not compare on any level. The performance setting has less go than my 80 economy setting and the 120 blows it out of the water.
As far as a setting for daily driving and towing my truck is on the 80 e seeting about 85% of the time. Even when towing 14,000 lbs, if you don't drive like a mad man the egts aren't a problem.
