cam in 95 f150 351

i have a 95 f150 with a 351, ive done a full exhaust, headers with flowmasters and it sounds pretty mean. my next project that im looking at is to put a cam in it. something so that at an idle it sounds beefy with considerate space between each cylinder firing. any ideas on how much lift on the exhaust and intake to make it sound nice would be helpful
thanks a lot
matt

ReAX is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.ReAX is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
More important than sound is how it makes your truck behave. That all depends on your gear ratios, tire size, stall speed (If automatic), how well your heads flow, ect. Too radical of a cam with out the right drive train will kill your take off but run like a scalded dog at extreme rpms. You will need to stay with a fairly mild cam if you want it street-able.

Look, see these two tow hooks? They look like tusks. And what kind of animal has tusks?

there's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I like to think that I walk that line every day of my life.
