Exclamation Can't figure out antifreeze leak.....help!!!

I noticed my antifreeze was low and it was wet around the thermostat housing. I replaced the thermostat, o-ring, and thermostat housing but its still wet between the thermostat housing and the intake manifold. It doesn't appear to be nearly as wet as before, but its still loosing antifreeze. Do you guys have any ideas of what this could be? I used an OEM thermostat housing, o-ring, but I used a thermostat from autozone. The upper hose was replaced right before I bought the truck, but it doesn't appear to be an OEM hose. The hose clamp was also replaced. I torqued the thermostat housing bolts to spec when I put it back together. I can't figure this out. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Welcome to the forum

Sounds like there is a possible crack in the manifold.

I see you have a 97 f-250 is that correct. If so ford had a recall on the intakes but I believe the recall has ended so the intake would have to come from your own money.

Thanks for the welcome. I talked to the dealer and they said the manifolds commonly cracked on the police cruisers, but not so much on the trucks. I looked in the area and didn't see any cracks in the manifold. I'm wondering if the manifold gasket is shot, but i can't explain how its damp on top by the thermostat housing. After I get done driving the truck, its dry by the thermostat, then when I go to check it later its damp. I guess the only way to really tell is to pressurize the system.

Probably separates when hot an under pressure.
