'66/'68 Bumper Question..

Hi, all, just visiting from the early truck forum - I am having trouble finding a stock rear bumper off a '51/'52 pickup. However, someone pointed out that the 66/68 Bronco front is VERY similar...

Would one of you kind people, that have a '66/'68, with the squared corners, possibly measure one from end to end, and also the "height" of it? Also, the back bumper, if they are different...

I would really appreciate it!!

In addition, if you happen to have one, almost regardless of condition (I would be painting), and would want to part with it for some experimentation, I would appreciate that too!

Thanks, in advance...

R

The bumper currently available for both front and rear measures about 68 1/2". It will fit over 4 1/2" frame. My 67 never had the stock bumper, so cant give the squared dimension. Hope this is of some help.

Thanks for the measurements! I'll have to measure the truck, but seems right in the ballpark.

Are these hard to find? I see I can buy a "repop" painted for $100, but they are the rounded corners. Squared would be soooo much better, unless, of course, they are "hen's teeth"...

Thanks again,

R

You can find both originals available on ebay from time to time. A square one is more likely to be found painted.
