so everybody at my school is a chevy guy/girl of course they all say ford sucks, and i always retaliate with "well chevy uses izuzu engines that dont pass quality control," but i need some cold hard facts that ford is better. like statistics, or known facts like 70s chevys rust out because of the whole 3 panel fender thing.

i fugure this is the best place to find answers so here it goes.

 

Like as in it doesn't matter which brand or even country of origin they are all junk type of stuff?
Yes as a mechanic that was always my answer to that question honestly they all have good and bad.

 

I cant figure that one out either. Nobody ever says Chevies suck. Just look at the Ford vs the competion threads. I think we all agree on here that ford has the truck out there bar none. An they all have there lemons no matter waht the brand.

 

Just search Youtube. There is hours of entertainment making each truck look like they are bulletproof.

 

Give up it's all OPINION when you get right down to it it's just personal prefrence. Full sized trucks are on apretty level playing feild and have been for years.

OK but what about the dissapearing cab mounts on 70's Fords. They sell aftermarket replacments for a reason.

The fact is NO trucks from the 70's are particularly rust resistant. The corrosion resistant steels simply weren't avalible back then..

ALL brand X vs brand Y do is proove how little both parties know about vehicles.

 

For starters you could show them the frame test and bed ounce on youtube.

Let them know that Fords dominate in towing and hauling, and that they outsell chevy every year.

 

And a few years ago they sold half if not more than all trucks sold.

i don't consider myself just a ford truck person but a truck person in general. i will take great appreciating in a 1970 chevy as much as a 2008 ford.

i like some more than others and like fords above all but to me all trucks are pretty cool in some way or another. with exceptions of course.

 

Sure they do and I just saw a penguin fly.

 

pull up in your ford with about 3000-4000 pounds in your box, then they will realize you could basically put a small tractor or average car in your box, show them that built ford tough stands strong and true

 

yeah basicly no guy who owns a chevy/dodge can do that, let them know GMC = Gay Mans Chevy, tell them about frame flex while off road.
