99 F150 Xlt Sc

I have a 99 f150 and since i have own the truck for 2 years it has leaked oil from passenger side of engine. Im pretty sure that it is comming from head gasket. The truck has the 5.4 and has 145,000 miles. the last time i changed oil it has used 3 quarts in 1,500 miles. Has gotten a lot worse since i bought it. I can smell it burning everytime i drive it. Should both head gaskets be replaced and how is the easiest way to do them. The truck runs great but it loves oil. I have the equipment to do it my self but i would like to hear from others, to see what im getting into.
Thanks Bulldog

It's probably just the passenger side. The problem was actually the machining of the passengerside heads was not right causing weak spots and allowing the gaskets to leak. I would mill just a little off of the head and install a new gasket.

I've heard that it can be done. Never have done it personally.
