Synthetic Oil

Just wondering if anyone has had experience using full-synthetic oil in the newer 3V 5.4's?

Curious whether or not there might be the same oil consumption issue as seems to be common in the V-10 when full-synthetic oil is used?

Thanks!

i have used Mobil 1 full sythetic on my 07 expedition since the second oil change.

Follow the same guidelines that the ford manual states for the motorcraft synthetic blend. I am pretty sure it takes 6 qts but it might be 7, can't quite remember, its been a month since I changed it last.

I talked with my service writer and he stated that he has seen no difference. It is more what you want in the motor. Ford does not seem to care if you want full or blended both are good.

berry1234 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I just switched yesterday to Mobil 1 5w-20 at 14,500miles. Seems the same. Maybe too soon to tell.

Put Redline in mine as soon as I left the dealership after driving it for 20-some miles.

No consumption issues.........
