yes...jowilker...that's the one. Sorry I haven't got back on. I have been overwhelmed with stuff. I will try and post the plate info. I was really just trying to get an idea of what these things were going for. I checked all that stuff when I first bought it. It is a ford factory crew cab, not a conversion. I was told by a few people that the factory automatics were rare.

Bill,

i looked at the truck today. Ok so the truck is a 1965 f100 4x4 with a crew cab but the driver rear door has a delete plate on the inside and no door handle like ford deleted that too. i have some pics if they will help. The roof however is wierd because it had a removable center like a sun roof which from what i was told was ordered that way so the passenger could cut tree branches or something and the door was deleted so you could not fall out durring your work. The door can be changed easily and made to work. it also seems to have a 57-59 bed on it but the guy said it came that way cause the bed is bigger on the inside than the stock bed and has round signal lights on the back???? The vin number on the truck does match the frame but someone put a 1968 390 in it with the "S" 4 barrel intake manifold. if you could take a peak at it for me i will glady send some pics to an e-mail address. I'm not quite sure how to post them on the site without putting them on a website first. Thanks for any info I may pick it up and resell for $2,000.00 I am located just before prescott on route 69. Thanks,JOHN

Ok so the truck is a 1965 f100 4x4 with a 4 door crew cab but the driver rear door has a delete plate on the inside and no door handle which can be converted back to a functioning door. its like the handle was never punched out at the factory. The roof however is wierd because it had a removable center like a sun roof which from what i was told was ordered that way so the passenger could cut tree branches or something and the door was deleted so you could not fall out durring your work. it also seems to have a 57-59 bed on it but the guy said it came that way cause the bed is bigger on the inside than the stock bed and has round signal lights on the back???? I'm not quite sure how to post them on the site without putting them on a website first. I think i may buy it and turn it around for like $2200.00 or best offer. it runs good. Thanks for any info i am located in dewey near prescott

The 57 to 60 bed is correct for four wheel drives of 65 vintage. It came stock from ford... No matter what the current owner says. Are you sure it is a F100 4x4... They are really rare in a crew cab configuration. Does the doors have a gap and internal hinges? or external hinges?

In or near Prescott Huh?

I have a friend in Texas looking for one.

Garbz

Nice resurrection of an old thread.

so the bed is correct?? sweet. I loooked up the vin on the truck and it matches the truck. it said on the decode page it is a f100. it has 5 lug all the way around. Its a manual trans with all the drive train there except the front drive shaft. I posted pics on my gallery and i can get some more if he is interested the truck is sitting outside this guys house. I think i'm gonna pick it up this week so if he wants it let me know cause its a pain to get this guy that has it in one place at a certain time. JOHN (928)-499-5307.

I think i've decided today to just pass this truck off to you guys. I have the owner of the trucks Phone number and he only wants $975.00 or best offer for the truck. I have pictures of it in my gallery. His name is Art and he is in Dewey, Arizona 86327. (928)-925-0239. I've got my 69 to finish and this crew cab looks like i could really get intense with custom mods if i start it and i really wanna biuld a 69 crew cab 4x2. ANYWAY i hope someone gets this 65
