2002 E-350 Single Rear Wheel Hub removal?

I need to change two wheel studs that my tire guy says 'were stripped'. I see you can pound them out with the drum brake pads unloaded but how do you pound them back in? I'm thinking the hub has to be removed but I haven't the slightest idea how...help?

Well if you can get them out with the pounding method, Just slip 2 new ones in and then tighten with wheel on or reverse lug nut to flat side and get enough washers so that when you tighten them it will draw them into place. Just be sure to start them true and straight. And be sure to seat them all the way. Don't go back to tire guy, he is full of it. Always use hand wrench to tighten, this way when it comes time to take them off you don't have to be Hercules to get them off.

I thought about it but I wasn't sure if it would be too much stress on the bolt or enough to pull it through. You make perfect sense and I will try it, I guess it gets some serious stress while it has a wheel bolted to it with the weight of the van whipping around. Thanks man..

To get the hub off unbolt the axle then slide it out.Remove the axle retaining nuts and pull the hub off.
