Question F250 7.3 to 1990 F150??????

I am thinking about swaping an 7.3L Turbo into my 1990 F150 4x4...

I am wondering what would stop me from doing this? With a donor Truck I would have fuel lines, tanks and fuel pumps, engine wiring, and of course the engine and trans.

does anyone see any real problems in doing this???

I just wanted to know if you had a plan. Straight front? Beefed up coils? Ect. I have seen one in a Bronco so yes it can be done in an F150.

I am wondering why you would do this swap? is there something wrong with the 250 or the body style/configuration you don't like? Not trying to shot down your thought just trying to gather info to help you make an informed choice.

Put the limo on a 4x4 chassis! Either way the limo needs to have stacks with stage 1's!!

I would venture to say it would most definately have to be Jacked Up even if it is 2wd. But where do you run the stacks thru the body on a limo. Maybe side pipes or as some say lake pipes.

I was also thinking Stage II's or better.

That town car should have a long enough hood that a hood stack would be no problem to clear the cowl.

Yup it would work I would say. I was thinking about getting a donor truck with the 7.3 and trying to find a frame from an old U-Haul or delivery truck.

I am not concerned about the weight, I havent checked yet, but the 7.3 cant be any heavier than an old 460. I know my truck will work great with a 460.

My plan was to swap the motor mounts and set it in, of cours all of the supporing electrical and fuel issues.
