California emissions in New York?

I bought my '05 F250 SD XLT Crew Cab 4X4 5.4/5R110W 3.73-open in the end of December. I took it in for some small fixes and got a build sheet on the truck. When I looked at the sheet, I saw that I have "California/Green State Req (DGAAC0)" emissions. I assume this means that the truck is equipped with the California emissions.
First, is this a correct assumption?
Then if so, am I losing a lot of power due to this emissions package?
I live in New York and have yearly emissions inspections but why California package?
Is it worth my while to replace the California package with the New York equipment?
Thanks!

Later...
Brewster...

Several states adopted California standards several years ago. Not an issue as to how they run/drive etc.

If my info is correct, the only difference between CA emissions and 49 state emissions is that every vehicle must be tested in CA. Everywhere else they just sample.

CA emissons should have 4 O2 sensors and 4 cats. The package does differ from the federal only trucks. New York is one of the "green" states that adopted CA emisson standards on all new vehicles.

That's one of the strangest things I've ever heard. That would require every vehicle sold to the east coast green states to pass through California just to be tested.

The green state program whereby a few east coast states require CA standard vehicles to be sold there has been around for 10 years. It's nothing new.

Your info is not correct. California bound vehicles are also sampled, not 100% tested.

Once the vehicle is in service then each state decides what they will do about in service inspection. Some states require yearly inspections and emission tests, some states don't inspect or test anything. Michigan is one of those that does not inspect any vehicles, nor emission test any vehicles.
