When's it on the lots?

When will the new truck be on the lots? My lease is due up April 21st. While I cannot afford a new one (09), the rebates, and incentives will be way up on the 08's when the new one's are getting close to the dealerships. GO FORD!!!!

I believe JOB 1 is slated for second half of July. They will probably start hitting the lots sometime in early August.

I'm afraid that will probably be too late for me. The incentives on the 08's will not be up yet. I was hoping for an XLT Crew Cab 4X4 for about $26,000.00 out the door. I'm probably just dreaming anyway.

Keep your chin up...as FORD is not selling many trucks period. So...when April rolls around...you might be in for a good deal.

Yep, 'fraid so. $26K OTD is less than A Plan. It's a used truck.

Not sure how much help this will be but on Monday ABC news life in 24 hours. They were showing the ford truck plant an in the piece that showed a new 2009 ford truck going down the assembly line and commented about how it was the first of the 2009 Ford Trucks. Also how the put out one truck every min.

I saw that show shelby... Was really neat show. And the guy who actually test drives them? Cool job.

Any more thoughts on release date, now that a few more days have passed?

Thanks.

I heard around August. I am considering buying a 08 late this year. There will be heavy incentives when they are sitting on the lots with 09's. Plus you get a truck that has been "polished" for 5 years and all the major bugs worked out. I'm sure that decision will be much harder when I can test drive an 09 though.

Thanks for the input, I just saw on CNBC that it will be late summer/fall release.

I think I will make my offer to the Ford Dealer, then (sadly for the first time in 17 years) drive to the Nissan Dealer for a Titan.

Just curious but what about the nissan do you feel is superior to the ford? I test drove all the trucks and quickly eliminated the nissan.

I have only heard rumors about the titan being eliminated. I know they are not selling well though. I hope not, the more trucks in the market place the better each is going to become. Survival of the fittest.
