First UOA for my truck

I got 172,360 miles on the truck and 5,260 miles on Rotella 5/40 syn with a Pure One filter.
Element:my sample:averages
Aluminum:2:2
Chromium:1:1
Iron:15:17
Copper:1:4
Lead:8:4
Tin:0:1
Molybdenum:4:21
Nickel:1:1
Manganese:0:0
Silver:0:0
Titanium:0:0
Potassium:3:1
Boron:6:84
Silicon:6: 9 (Still had recalled air filter box)
Sodium:4:4
Calcium:4664:3186
Magnesium:10:77
Phosphorus:1574:1119
Zinc:2146:1291
Barium:0:1
Fuel:<.5%
Antifreeze:0%
Water:0%
Insolubles:.2%
TBN: 9

Only thing above average was lead at 8 versus 4, Blackstone says it may be a particle streak through one of the bearings. Oil taken from HPOP after a 5hr road trip. Installed a 6637 filter after sample was taken. Lab says to try 1800 more miles before changing the oil, I'll retest at 7000 total on oil.
What do you guys think?

I just sampled mine also at 4500 miles. It was about the same as your sample, but my TBN was only 7.6. They recommended that I go to 5500 miles for the next sample. I did a good bit of trailering about 7000 lbs and some hard interstate running on that service interval too but I had the OEM air filter system.

I did use FFFP and Diesel Clean in for that entire oil change. I am going to run 4500 miles again with no additives and see what that reads just to see if the additives do what they advertise.

I don't think I am going to stretch my oil past the 5000 mile mark without a bypass filter though.

I sent mine to Blackstone labs, the standard testing costs $22.50. I added a TBN test to my report for $10 extra dollors. The TBN tells how much "life" is left in the oil if all the metals are in check. Go to Blackstones website and get a free sample kit.

Those numbers look very good. Better than mine! Just follow their advice and don't get too worried about any high numbers until you get a base line built up. Thats when UOA really shine is when you do it regularly over a year or so to get a good trend going then you can see issues cropping up.

I'm surprized that my silicon readings weren't that high considering I had the recalled air filter setup, must have gotten a good one.
