basic question

I have a rebuilt long block 460. However the 4x4 oil pump pickup I need to install has a support bracket that ataches to a short stud that extends out of one of the main bearing cap bolts. So to install I need to remove the installed main cap bolt and replace it with the one with the mounting stud.

So is it better to just remove and replace one and torke to spec to prevent disturbing the main bearing or should I remove the pair and then retork both?

Remove the pair and re-torque them in steps.
