Acquired new project

I have just acquired a 58 F100. I haven't seen a lot of late 50's conversation on here. How many of the late 50's are being rebuilt?

Check the Galleries, there are quite a few "refrigerator" trucks on here. Much of the trucks is similar to earlier models, so it may be hard to distinguish threads that are about them. You could search on "Y-block", too.

Thanks Guy's. Not sure what my plans are yet. This is a really good forum. I have gotten a lot of good info for my Buddies 52 rebuild from here.

I've always had a soft spot for the "frigerator" years. I drove a 1960 custom cab in high school. The truck was pretty rough, but for a 16 year old I thought I was driving a Cadillac (even on those cold days when I had to wrap up in a blanket and scrape the ice off the inside of the glass as well as the outside)

Welcome to FTE. I have a 60 F-100 as my "parts runner" and I love it. You don't see many of these body styles running around any more and I get lots of compliments on it. Have fun!

Hey vbarker! Welcome to the boards.

I also have a 1958 Ford F100 styleside for a project.... Its been tough to work on, but like all things, it takes time...

BTW does anyone know of member pages that are as detailed as the ones that were posted on the "Newbie with a free 55 F100" fourm a while ago, only for the 57-60 period?? Ive been looking and cannot find any.... Would be nice to find one as detailed as those posted... Sorry for stealing a little bit from this current post, but it might help vbarker out as well.....

Welcome, VBarker!
There are a Few of us "Orphan Years", '57-'60 truck owners here.
We're just not as vocal as some of the rest here because most of us are keeping our pick-ups stock or rather close to stock w/ only some minor safety up-grades.
Well there are a few that have found what some here call the "Darkside" & are doing some major Mods to them, but we don't let them out of their cages very often.

Thanks for all the good comments and warm welcomes. I'll be posting pics to my gallery Sunday. It'll probably be a long project as I am also working with Retro48/52 on his project.
