Hood emblem wanted for 1952 F1; could trade 1951 emblem
Hi,
I have a mostly original F1 and am looking for an original trim part for the lower front of the hood. When I was a kid, my dad had our local body guy fit a '51 trim piece in place of the missing part, and I'd like to find the correct one.
Is this part being reproduced? I've done a quick check online and can't seem to locate a new one. I've found the V-8 emblem for the center, but not the whole part.
I'll trade straight-up for the '51 emblem, for a nice '52. I'll get a photo of the '51 for those who may be interested. I can't part with the one I have until I replace it, so please don't expect me to sell it outright just yet.
Thanks,
Dan

Dan,
Just to clarify, you're looking for the whole nose piece with two holes instead of three?
If you don't come up with one closer to Dayton, keep me in mind. I have one on a parts truck that is in good shape. Its painted and has a 6 cylinder emblem on it but as near as I can tell it's the same as the V8 variety. Bolt holes appear to be the same.
I'm in nw Montana.

I posted a photo of what I have currently in my gallery.
Please PM a price to me and I'll keep it in mind as an option. I think the repro emblem was $60.
