23 Jan--- still waiting-- guess your cred with Davenport is no good.

But there was a guy outside with a dump full of snow looking lost, gave him directions to your place and told him you're a retired Olympic downhill ski champion and you want a mountain of snow at your door to remind you of your (long ago) youth. He gave a thumbs-up and took off right away.

Mike...there are actually thousands who technically belong to the New England Region. There are probably less than 20 who could be considered active members...and there are less than that who post regularly. Apparently...some people have lives!!!

If you refer back to the January GTG Poll...I think we had 17 members vote...10 for the Car Show and 7 for the Basketball Hall of Fame. At the show...we actually had 5 members show up and 4 family members.

These numbers have been about the norm for a while. The most successful event we held was the "Big June Bash" where we first met you and some other members of the NE Region. This was pretty much the only appearance of the guys from CT. The Kanc run had a pretty good turnout...again a showed...puppypower and his wife hottotty. The Battleship Cove and Higgins trips were pretty much the same...about 5-6 members and some family members. The trips to the Pet Store were pretty low turnouts. The Dyno Day in Ct had a few members from MA/VT/NH visit our friends from the CTPSD Club.

Any thoughts from anyone on how we can increase the turnouts...increase the interest...increase the excitement???

We can just continue to pick interesting places for meets.. I think the current fuel price levels are having an effect...

We are seeing more activity on FTE which is a good sign.. People will come if there is something of interest to them..

If BIGKEN would raffle off a new SD or even a Focus people would come..

Since a mid-winter BBQ in my back yard wasn't included as an option, I voted fot the BBHoF. I know how to get there and Ken's favorite French "restaurant" is very close by .

Besides, with one bad arm (just had surgery), skiing is out of the question.

I should be available that day. Maybe I can talk someone from the north shore area to carpool.

If you like Italian food you can pig out at Pazzo's restaurant in the HOF area. Awesome food and reasonable on the wallet. Very unlike Max's Tavern which is outrageous in the $$$$ department.
