Full shop manuals are still available.. ebay etc

Engine specs are over on the engine part of the forum.. the 370 is a common motor

Enjoy

Smile 1979 Shop Manuals Ford 370

Thanks for pointing me to eBay, I found the manuals there. Not cheap, $120 with shipping for all 3, but well worth it.

Soon i'll have my 1979 F600 4X4 working on my campground again!

Drop by sometime!

i was driving 1979 F600 4x4 when i was working for one logistics company (we delivered cargo to Russia). Our largest trip was from Berlin (Germany) to Saint-Petersburg (Russia) - about 2100 miles in one way. F600 didn't betray me - it worked really good, so I still recall the times I drove it...nice truck, one of my favorite!

Why a Ford cab? Keep it a Dodge! That's gotta be kinda rare as far as they go, since dodge quit building semi's in 1975. I don't think their medium duty production was that much after that.

Great find!

I'm just tuning in, and I have to say - terrific "barn find" on the truck! I'll be building my own F-monster of some kind in the next few years - I'm starting to put things together now on paper to figure out what I need and where to start.

Thanks for all the pics! I've driven many F-mediums in my life, and liked every one of them. Can't wait to be able to drive one myself again (this time with personal use/ RV plates)!

Every international freight forwarding company has F600's in the cars park - that's a reliable, powerful and very comfortable car.

This project is far from dead.. Im resurrecting my other F600 right now.. new clutch and build a bed and some belly boxes and it will be road worthy ..then Ill be back on the Fire Engine

Maybe late summer..look for updates

Im looking for parts

I need a set of H172 Rockwell rear hubs... I ditched my disc brake project and am going back to drums.. now that I have a SWB frame the drums will be overkill and Ill never use up brakes

ROCKWELL REAR HUBS ANYONE?

they were on thousands of rockwells but I cant seem to get a set without buying a whole truck
