I like those fenders on your truck 79F150/F600. it makes it look so tough. Ford should have done this. kinda like a Dodge Powerwagon but Ford based I guess.

Ohh and just so everyone knows I am looking for original steel flareside (stepside) fenders to graft onto my bed, I just don't want to put any fiberglass junk on my truck. So feel free to check my photo gallery out and here is a couple other shots to really wet your appetite.

I agree Buck, it fits that truck with those tires on it, 79F150/F600 you should start a seperate thread on your truck I think you will have a good following

I installed the bracket I bought and now find I may be missing more then the bracket. It appears that I have two (2) places on the water pump that and a short brakcet from the smog pump that looks similar to an alternator bracket.

Can you help me to see what I am missing, I feel blind as I did not remove these parts so it is hard to invision what may be missing.

Thank you,

Well....I was going to go to bed, been on here since noon yesterday, but since you asked...

What brackets do you need again? Year series and engine size please.

EDIT: I know what one bracket is, and what you're working in...what's the other bracket for?

1979 Ford F-700, 429. The bracket goes on the right side of the smog pump, it appears that this bracket is bolted to the water pump and that there is a small bracket from the smog pump that looks like a bracket that adjusts the tension on the smog pump, thank you!

D9HZ9B452A .. Smog Pump Adjustment Bracket / Obsolete

Only dealer that shows it:

Willey, Inc (Ford Dealer) in Ames IA has ONE.

Ford Dealer parts locator system doesn't always list phone numbers.

There isn't another bracket shown in the illustration, except one for LN's only.

If you still have more problems, you should get a copy of the parts catalog illustration from Green Sales in Cincinnati.

1973/79 FORD HEAVY TRUCK PARTS CATALOG / ILLUSTRATION SECTION 94, PAGE 5.

GREEN SALES: 513-731-3304, or if you (pretend to) buy something (don't tell them I said that!): 800-543-4959.

I'm beat, will be back on around 9:00 AM PST.

Ok.. after a year in mothballs this project has been resurrected from the dead

After finishing up the original factory frame I was not happy with it... I found some damage where the original fire pump drain had done some damage to the frame... it went unnoticed because of the double frame... and wasnt successuflly repairable to my liking

It took me a year to find just the right truck as a donor frame but I located one last week at the right price... nearly free.. which is good..

In back at it.. with pics to follow

I also have a gaggle of F 600 parts available now... from parting a number of F 600s... if you are local email me for cheap deals...

Dan..
I have those items but unfortunately you are not local... if you were I could give you the cheap deal...for California parts that aren't rusted out.... but shipping them wouldn't be worth the time and hassle

Sorry

The grey service truck will be the donor frame.. SWB.. it was covered in gallons,, no exaggeration... of grease from whatever engine was in the bed
It was a custom cab,, right down to the dashpad and original FOMOCO am radio

The CALFIRE truck has a perfect body except for one minor dinged fender.. which I have.. It is a base model.. right down to a radio delete.... between the several f 600s I have now I have plenty of parts to mix and match
