No Diesel for 2009...but yes to 2010

Well, *#&$ is all I can say! Oh well, I guess another year won't kill us all. We just have more time to save up! Check out Ken's article for more info.

I'm not going to lie, I'm extremely dissapointed. I was hoping for Ford to really blow the competition out of the water, with some kind of increased economy and technology, new motors or the diesel. I think they blew it and I am as die hard as die hard gets as far as Ford goes. blah

Ford has not yet released power numbers. I'm told they are significant improvements over the current offerings.

electronic locking diff... im down with that lol its about TIME! and all 4x4 models will come with manual and electronic? thats awesome too, just hope the motors dont dissapoint... if they came out with the hydraulic launch assist, and got a truck that gets 20mpg city they would sell over 1 million trucks easy this year, or next.. why arent they doing this?!?!

You'd think that they would've offered a diesel. If they are adding one in 2010 (or so we are told) why not have pushed the whole thing back a year?

I guess I'll drive my Ranger for another year or so.

Just a thought: Maybe they are waiting for the Ranger redesign or F100 in 2010 depending on what you and where you read it to come out. Maybe to share the same diesel engine in some models?

they may be waiting for the 2010 emissions year. Odd as well is that the Cummins V8 in the RAM 1500 wont be availible to 2010 either.

Just watched some vids, the cheif engineer would not reveal any specs on the motor, and said there will be a significant improvement in fuel economy for the 5.4, if i understood correctly
