missing out when light on go pedal..

ok i've been noticing that my truck is missing out when i'm at low RPM's and i'm being light on the accelerator. if i push the petal down and accelerate a little it won't miss anymore until i let off the petal again. it only does it from about 1000 RPM's to around 1500 RPM's. truck is running fine, but i'm really not liking the missing at all. if i'm sitting still and rev it up to 1200 RPM's and let it stay at 1200 it misses out as well. what is wrong with this thing guys???

I don't know what the problem is. I have a similar problem in that my missing occurrs no matter how hard I accelerate up to about 2000 rpms, then it runs great. My turbo is fine, my MAP is new, and my fuel pump is new. From reading the posts from guys with similar problems, I think I am going to try replacing my oil temp sensor. Try reading this post:

I have read all I can read in this forum and others, but I haven't found an answer. I have read of one having similar symptoms and it was his turbo going out, but mine is fine. I read about one guy that said he had an injector giving problems and it was dumping in too much fuel to burn at low rpms. I kind of hope it is not an injector problem, but if it is I might have to move up to some Stage 1's. Sometimes it runs fine, but it is usually when it has not fully warmed up, and/or it is cool weather. So, I am beginning to think that the oil temp sensor could be a possibility and I am going to order one tomorrow. One day I might replace my thermostat too.

ive only noticed it when the engine is cold. i have noticed it before just never thought anything of it b/c i thought it was just my 10k mod doing that. wait, i didn't notice it after i took out the 10k mod... i will take the 10k mod out again and see what happens. i hope it's not the injectors cuz if it is then cody won't want mine in return for his stage 1's!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The guy I bought my truck from had an Edge tuner on it set in the tow mode (lowest setting) and it did it from the beginning of owning the truck. Much worse with the Edge though. Since I unplugged the EBV it has been much better, but still kind of weak up to 2000 rpms or so. I live in GA near Savannah, so we don't get much cold, just cool. But it does run pretty good till I get 25 or so miles on it.

Smokin Stroke D, what is a cylinder contribution test? I don't deal with our Ford dealer here because the prices are too high. Where could I get one done?

Thanks

Correct me if I am wrong guys, but there is a butterfly valve in the outlet of the turbo that is connected to an actuator. When the temperature is cold (mine came on when it was 40 degrees or less), the actuator restricts the exhaust to warm the engine faster. The actuator is activated by the exhaust back pressure valve (ebv) that is on the front of the engine just to the passenger side of the fuel filter. This valve is connected to the manifold by a steel tube (the tube can be clogged with carbon sometimes). Some guys disconnect the wire at the turbo so the exhaust won't be restricted when cold. Mine would continue to stay on for 40 miles sometimes.

DO you have your 10k mod coons way if so check the the crimp connections on the wire from the sensor a bad connection will do this I soldered mine on for this same problem
