spark plug gap

anybody know the spark plug gap for a flat head 8 and know a good way to unseize the water pumps. this motor has been setting for 30 years.it has about 3000 miles on a rebuild engine then it was park.

.025 to .028

Water pumps? I'd spring for new ones. If they're stuck they'll probably leak when/if they do loosen up.

Are you going to drop the pan before trying to start it? It's a real good idea, you might even find a dead mouse in there! (seriously)

no just going to see if it will fire.oil is nice and clean looking .haven't made up my mind yet if i'm going to use the flat head or not.got a 351w with a 4spd auto o/d in lincoln that i'm was going to us in my 50
