Is it just me......

Or are these two reall close in design?
That was the first thing I thought when I opened up the article.

That should be a Ford front end, not a Dodge front end.

The new dodge looks more like the old 94-01 one. The mustang front end looks like its taken from the tundra, and the tundra looks like they looked at the old dodge front end :-/

Smiggs at the time you said that, 1/11/08 to my knowledge there was not an official picture of the 09 F-150, or at least I hadn't seen one until 1/12/08 which was Saturday.

That was my first thaught too. It looks like a mustang.

I really like that Dodge. Very sporty and cool looking.

I love Ford's but that is one nice looking truck.

I could see owning one of those. Not a fan of what Ford is doing to thier trucks. The super duyt is a bit weird to me and the 2009 150 has that same feel.

Red face

The Ford grill thing is a retro theme from the 1948-1950 Ford F-1 through F-8. They have the multibar grill. Apparently consumer focus groups like the front end more than you guys. I like it. Not my favorite, but I like it. I'm tired of the crosshairs of the Dodge grill. And slanting it forward looks like a busted plastic grill waiting to happen. The truck sides are plain. And the rear? Twin chrome tips do not make design. Yet it does look attractive overall.

Look at Consumer Reports for a survey results on reliability. I don't like CR evaluation of the cars and trucks that they test. But I do trust their survey. Thousands of people are asked and answer what about their car/truck. And Survey says, DONT BUY CHRYSLER, UNLESS YOU LIKE TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE SHOP!

Last time i checked the Dodge Ram was recommended by Consumer reports and the F150 wasn't because of reliability.

See I like the way Dodge got away from those BIG UGLY grills. Went back to the older style. Ford now thinks these BIG UGLY GRILLS are nice looking. If I had big stupid money the Dodge would be in my driveway hands down.
Is Ford going to continue to use the 5.4 V8? 1990 tech.

Your point being? My grandparents even report 21-23MPG in the 06 Durango with MDS HEMI hand calculated. They have no reason to lie either.

EPA estimates are 13/17 for 4 wheel drive. And they get 23???? I know 4 people with the Hemi and none of them get anywhere near 21-23. 15-18 at best. Are you saying they average that,or that is the best they got? My F-150 best is 20.5....but nowhere near average for me. Downhill and a tailwind maybe.....

The EPA estimates are 14/18 for the 4WD. I think my grandparent's durango may be the 2wd, which is iirc 15-20
