hey , i just put a clifford intake manifold, holley 4bbl and efi manifolds on my truck and the carb baseplate starts to ice up after a few minutes of driving and my truck will start to bog down to the point where i have to park my truck and let it sit for a few minutes to warm up the intake, just wandering if anybody else has had this problem and what they did to fix it . thanks

 

Heated spacer plate. These have a heater hose fitting on end side, and water flows thru on it's way back to the water pump, from the heater.
Very common issue, and a simple solution.

 

I think the contemporary Clifford 4v intake manifolds have water heat plumbing built in...or you may have an older one that doesn't and you will have to use a water heated spacer plate. Usually found in junk yards on 60's+ Fords or on eBay.
