What exhaust setup to get?

Alright, I'm having trouble deciding what to do. The Flowmaster site lists their loudest (Super 44) for $105. I'm thinking about going with no muffler as well. I want it loud, but I don't want it too loud. Kind of a happy medium. My brother has an Original 40 on his and I like it, but they don't make them anymore. I think I'm going to go with 3.5" Stainless tips that are cut at 15 degrees and rolled on the end. They look really sharp. Any other recommendations?

-Jake

Oh, if anyone says to run the pipe into the cab......they will be ran down and then run over.............by a DODGE!!!!

Thinkin bout the same thing myself. I run glass packs right now, go figure an old truck with glasspacks. :P I am going to look at trying to find the short glasspacks or just go straight pipe.

I forgot to mention this is for my Dodge (daily driver....). My '69 has headers and glasspacks.....a "bit loud" would describe that at highway speeds. I want this Hemi to be loud, but not too loud....

Nah jsut cut everything off an run her straight. The louder the better. Ooops thats illegal. Oh well. Oh Jake I hate to admit it but those hemis sound pretty sweet with aftermarket exhaust. If I see a guy that has a great sound I will ask him what he has.

Well you better act quick.....I'm calling the shop tomorrow to make an appointment to get her in. Exhaust and turn the front end up/align it. Ever notice how they sit in the weeds in the front and 12 miles tall in the back? I have thought about running with no muffler. I had true duals like that on the old 4.6 and it sounded pretty good. I can't go true duals on this pickup because Dodge doesn't put 437 cats on like Ford does. We'll see what my muffler guy says. It also comes down to cost. I know that straight pipes will be the cheapest, but maybe I've out grown the straight pipe sound.....?

It's white......kinda boring. White doesn't show scratches or anything like that. On my old pickup I can show you a long scratch in the clear, but you'd never see it otherwise. I like alot, still getting used to it. I like how short it turns. I'm really thinking about a Flowmaster....I'll get some pics up soon (hopefully)

It's going in Wed for a Flow 40 and to get the front end turned up. Playing with the jack today I think it will be pretty sweet with it leveled out....

oooooooo jake, i'm kinda disappointed in the whole "going to the dark side" thing... ok, dodge isn't quite the dark side, GM gets that title, but it's what i like to call a 'gateway crime.' however, i got a friend w/ an '05 larmie and i will admit they're pretty fancy, but i think he runs stock exhaust on his so i've pretty much got nothin for ya as far as that all goes lol.

i better get a ride in that thing come monday!

So as it turns out the muffler didn't come in soooo it has a straight pipe split out. I like it alot and probably won't bother putting a muffler in......The front end also leveled out nicely and it sits like a 4wd should sit....

OK....there's one in the gallery of my '98. Hopefully the FTE gods don't ban me forever......It was pretty bare when we got it. I've added the fender flares/mud flaps (a must on gravel with these rigs), my toolbox/antennas, and the bug sheild. I'm working on gathering all the stuff to put my stereo in it. I'm debating putting my CB in it or not.....I don't use it alot anymore......
