None of these cars are on the road today due to the lack of uncracked servicable heads. If you have a 2.2 turbo cyl head that ISN'T cracked (very unlikely) you can just about name your price for it.

Bash them all you want, but My turbo Dodges are just fine. I don't know where you live, but there are many 2.5/2.2L Mopars still on the road in my area. Lots, of acclaims, and vans are still around. I will admit that some of them could have head gasket problems though.

Most of machinist work needed on these heads is due to the head gasket problems and overheating the engine.

Being that I repair cars/trucks for a living, I have only seen one 2.5L head crack, out of quite a few head gasket jobs. Never saw a bottom end go bad, but they can get wrist pin noise.

Here on Long Island, they've all disappeared. I see one or two that some people have had since they were new and they're holding on to them forever. But I do think people around here just get a new car when an engine or transmission has problems.

Could be all in the maintenance. Just not changing the coolant enough can cause all sorts of problems...
