Because the thing was a dog with the 33's. Had no power going up hill and the gas mileage sucked. I am doing everything I can to bring the mileage up.

Has it been better with the 31's?

It feels much better. I haven't driven enough to check mileage, but the truck feels much peppier with the 31's. Doesn't lug going up hills and cruises much easier. I just bumped the tire pressure up from 30 psi that the tire shop set them at to 45 psi. That is still 5 psi under their max cold pressure so I think I should be good. If the mileage takes a decent jump I will be getting stock suspension parts for it a dropping it back to factory height.

The latest picture of my truck...just couldn't pass the opportunity to capture the sunset!

Seems like I've been away from this site with working around 50+ hours a week and what all. Anyway, haven't been driving my old truck as much as I was (still was only 7800 miles in my first year with it...drove everyday, just not far) Anyway, about a month ago now, I made a move to become a two-vehicle owner by purchasing something I'd always wanted....an SVT Cobra! I made a resolution in January that I would buy one before my birthday in August. It only took 6 1/2 months of saving, lots of long hours, along with countless hours searching craigslist.

I am proud to say that all while under the age of 18 (turning 18 next week) I bought my truck, in full payment of cash, pay for all my gas, maintenance, parts, tires, etc and the same goes for my Cobra. Neither of my vehicles were bought by my parents, nor do they pay insurance on either. Just goes to show what responsibility and saving can do for you!

Anyway, here's my car

I could sit here and share countless pictures with you guys...but since this is a truck website, here's one with both of my vehicles.

That just reinforces my choice to keep stock suspension on my '91 with 30x9.50's. I have the same drivetrain you do. Thanks for sharing!

Well you guys want pictures in this thread, so here's a few. I really like the way the forum handles picture attachments now, very user friendly!
