Not in the 92-96 f150. It is suppose to be a reading from the rear axle. 91- down was a cable that reads off the trans or t-case. Do you have an older cluster in the truck that is cable driven?

Try Upgrading the starter cable to 1/0. I used welding cable on my 460 Ranchero and it made a huge difference. The voltage loss from the smaller cable especially when the engine is warm is big when using the stock size cable.

The speedo is from the transmission, the sensor in the diff. is for the rear anti-lock brakes. I have a 9" in my '90, I know all about it.

No. the 92 (digital dash)and up use a signal from the speed sensor in the rear to get the speed . Your 90 is a cable driven speedo

I stand corrected, missed the year.

For the guy wondering if he has a 9", if you have a removable rear cover, it is not a 9" The 9" diff. drops out the front as one piece they like to call the pumpkin.

Speaking of Bumper stickers... My roommates girlfriend told to get this bumper sticker for my truck, it read as follows:
"I drive big trucks cuz fat girls cant jump" hahaah
priceless

And back on topic, my speedometer has been off about 5 mph since my lift, i dont even think its worth fixing...

When going about 40 the speedometer reads about 44-45, it was just an average ballpark figure.
I really havent payed it a whole lot of attention, ive been having too much fun just driving the thing!
