how much oil for 89 f350 with oil cooler?
how much oil is needed for an 89 f350 with an oil cooler? the cpu at work says 6 quarts but i wanted to make sure(my oil dipstick tube got crimped when we put the headers in and the dipstick wont go back in...gotta go get a lokar flexible one). thanks for any info.

Should be 6, when changing the oil, I don't think that you get much out of the cooler. It just stays there until the engine is started. Just to be safe though, you may want to add 1/2 quart. This will insure that you have enough, but won't be too overful if you didn't need it.
