Great service from amj performance

I'm pretty sure they are sponsors here. Ordered my commander pillar and tan spray paint on monday and it arrived this evening and I think they are in tennessee. $64 bucks shipped. those guys are great. I highly recommend them. amjperformance.com 888-563-1616 I'll be doing the install tomorrow hopefully and will post pics of the finished product back in this thread.

Install took about 45mins from start to until I was done and cleaned up. Only tips I have are to cut off a small plastic piece at the bottom of the original pillar, once you're trying to put it back on you will notice it getting hung up on the cab's frame. I cut it off using my leatherman then while pushing down on the pillar to try and put it back into place I used a screwdriver to pry the factory pillar into place. wasn't too hard at all just gotta make sure the bottom tab is in place then the rest of it lines up just fine. Other than that it is pretty simple.

What happened to the top of the dash right below the gauge? Auto Zone has a matching vinyl spray you can fix that with. I would spray some into the can cap and use a small camelhair brush to fix that. Worked great on mine.

thanks bp. I'm honestly really unpicky about the look of my truck just as long as I have stuff that works. lol I'll probably leave it there until I get a new dash. obviously need one I feel like I'm going to work or should be working everytime I look at my dash. haha I think it is spray paint from the pillar rubbing on the dash as I was trying to jam it into place.

Can you provide an updated opinion on your commander? I'm looking at doing the same thing. Did you get the Fuel Pressure add-on? 45 min! That seems like a really fast install. Were there good directions? Thanks.

I like it a lot. no issues so far. I did not get the fuel pressure kit cuz i have heard nothing but bad things about it. besides, im running stock fuel and sticks so I'm not too worried about it right now. If I had to do it again I could get it done in one hour. In my opinion, the directions were horrible.

It was getting dark. it was dark by the time I was done, obviously. But if I can do it anybody can do it. The pillar is super easy to get out but kind of a pain to get back in. I might even throw a couple analog gauges on top of the commander once I lower truck back down to a level kit and I won't need the grab handle. I like it a lot and it looks super clean.

I would also like to say that Ihad great service from AMJ Performance, I just recently purchased a set of stage three injectors, custom burned chip, and a Quadzilla Commander. These guys were great at calling me back quickly and putting the order in fast.

Don't know about you, but I always use the steering wheel to get in. I found that I didn't even miss the grab handle way up there on the piller!!
