I just listened to this video discussing new engine technologies (Ecoboost) aka forceflex and during the discussion they also mentioned the new F150 getting a Diesel. Although their are rumors of what Diesel it will get, this is the first word from Ford that states it will get a Diesel. Interesting info if you ask me.
Ken: When do u think the general public will get to hear and see all the info on the 09 f-150????
About 10 or 11 am this Sunday

I need to take a sleeping drug that will knock me out until Sunday morn...
I think the official time is 12:01 (noon) EST Sunday Jan 13th. With so many other embargos breaking early why can't this one?!? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhh!!!!!!
I will say I read a story @ autoweek.com back maybe a year ago where Ford said a diesel was coming for the F-150.
I just wish they'd mention the 6.2L, instead of ignoring its existence until a year from prior to Job 2...
Well since we are wishing, they should go ahead and make it an even 7 liters. There is already one of them in the Roush test mule/drag car
They could tune it down a bit, I really don't need 800hp in my truck. 500lb/ft of torque would be nice though. Get back to around the 460 power numbers.

They've done that already, might wanna check out the V10... better power than the 460, and a lil' better mpg too..

my wish list would be diesel 400-500 ft lbs trq at least 25 mpg average.
if they can not do that then I want 6.2 boss that gets 20 mpg average.
If they would let me I would buy that superchief in a blink or the tonka.
