The last of the bowl games has came and gone,making the LSU Tigers the number 1 team in the land.Lets see if USC gets ranked in the top 5 after ther very convincing game agaist illinois.
Fresno state(my team)was the only WAC team to win a bowl game.Hawaii was to over rated and didnt have the skills in my book to handle a team like georgia.

 

My alma mater... The University of Montana (GO GRIZ) took the Big Sky Conference, but lost in the first round of playoffs.

 

If there was really a National Champion declared, the game should have been SC and LSU! I think many of the pollsters forget that SC did not have their starting QB during part of the season...I don't think anyone could beat a healthy USC.

 

Well, if you really wanted a National Champion, then the winners of each bowl game would play the winners of the other bowl games in an elimination to see who is the number one, king of the mountain, best team of all 2007 period. However, that will never happen, (sort of like the WORLD Series only having American and Canadian teams instead of all countries of the world). Just my 2 cents.

 

dont forget about the only top 10 team to not get a bcs bowl game!and look at them!they finnish #4 in the country but should of been higher,but will take that!

 

There's so much money for the schools(and their conferences) that participate in the bowls, that to change that would mean the USC's, OSU's, Florida's, etc would get all of the money and recruits and the Hawaii's would never see any of this money and exposure. The multiple bowl format insures at least a little sprending of the wealth. Of course, it'd be nice to have a definitive National Champion, but what would we have to argue about then?

 

I think it's time for a play off system of some kind. I guess til then, we'll have to live with the bowls...of course it would be nice if my beloved Cornhuskers would get to a bowl!! maybe next year...

 

Ford will have to sponsor a bowl, so the winner can claim they are the all time bestest of the best isince they won the bestest of the best bowl out there, the FORD bowl.
