4.6 long block

I have a 97 f-150 with a 4.6 Romeo. I am looking to rebuild another motor (4.6) to put in it. The one I am going to build is a police interceptor motor. Can I bolt all my perepherals to it and put it back in my truck? Also, will my f-150 tranny bolt up to it?

Yes, as long as it is a Romeo. There is no difference in the police interceptor and standard 4.6L except a little PCM tweaking and dual exhaust. You are rebuilding a 98 or earlier engine, correct?

The police interceptor motor I don't know the year, but my f-150 motor is a 97 model. what kind of pcm tweaking are you talking about? Do you know where I can find out what the engine casting on the police interceptor motor means?

the engine casting is f5ae-6k318-aa
