460......uh.....i dont know what happend

hey guys, this is a cool site that i have been browsing for a while. i have a 93 f250 with the big 460. this truck is used to pull around my dad's case 1845 skid loader but thats very occasional.this truck has an aftermarket dually kit and 1 ton springs in the back. the rest is "hot rodding" well about as much as you can do in this truck with my buddy who has a similar truck. this truck has been great excep for the last week or two.........this truck used to do burn outs for about 20-25 feet.........pretty good for a dually eh? but anyway..........i think the clutch is going out becuase it only does it for about 5 feet now.......the clutch never has felt like a "normal" clutch its' always been kinda tricky......how much is a new clutch installed usually?? could it possibly be the CAT. Converter?? i've been thinking about halloing it out. the truck has a 3 inch from the Cat to the back of the truck with a round muffler (looks like a dynomax add.) would the cat suddenly plug?? anything i should look for?? will hallowing the cat make the truck a ton lowder?? how about when pulling? thanks sorry so long

To tell if the clutch is slipping, drive along in high gear(4th or 5th depending on if it is a 4 or 5 speed) at about 45mph. Then mash it to the floor, if the rpm's go up quickly, then the clutch is about to go. If not, it is probably ok.
It could be the converter, dumping the clutch is hard on a vehicle, it jars everything when you do it, you could have jarred the insides loose.
It is a truck designed for pulling loads, not doing burnouts. If you wan't to do awesome burn outs, Get a 5.0 Mustang and leave the poor old mule alone.
