Air Compressor Sound

Air Compressor Sound That Comes Out Under The Hood, I Know It Is Supposed To Do This Until The Engine Warms Up But For How Long.

Ya that sound sucks literally HA! unplug your ebpv and the sound will disappear

get to going pretty good by the mall with pipe towards building, revved pretty good in first and hit it (mines on the switch) then coast a little ways. wow sounds BAD A

during really cold days mine would engage every time i came to idle or cruised at a very,very light throttle

It Was About 63 Here Today And It Stayed On For About 20 Min Or So. It Came On When I Had The Peddle Slightly Depressed And When I Gave It More Throttle It Disapeared Does This Sound Normal??

Sounds normal but it seems a little warm for it to be on.

unplug it and never look back!!! Better yet gut it, cut off the actuator and never have another oil leak as well. Can you tell I hate that EBPV!!

The valve is hydraulicly actuated by engine oil pressure. There is a barrel with a piston and rod on the turbo pedestal. That barrel is prone to leaking. The butterfly vavle can be removed freeing up the exhaust and the piston can be removed and the barrel can be cut off and the holes welded up Never to leak again!
here is a pic of my modded pedestal done by the previous owner.


To unplug the EBPV there is a two wire connector on the intake side of the turbo under the intake tubing. unplug that connector and the valve will not close anymore ever.

See the upside down l shape to the lower left with the bolt hole in it. thats where one half of the connector is bolted.
