It Was About 63 Here Today And It Stayed On For About 20 Min Or So. It Came On When I Had The Peddle Slightly Depressed And When I Gave It More Throttle It Disapeared Does This Sound Normal??
The valve is hydraulicly actuated by engine oil pressure. There is a barrel with a piston and rod on the turbo pedestal. That barrel is prone to leaking. The butterfly vavle can be removed freeing up the exhaust and the piston can be removed and the barrel can be cut off and the holes welded up Never to leak again!
here is a pic of my modded pedestal done by the previous owner.
To unplug the EBPV there is a two wire connector on the intake side of the turbo under the intake tubing. unplug that connector and the valve will not close anymore ever.
