Yea Dave the hole does look like it hasn't been used. However that is where the hole is located on my 46 and it has a block of wood that supports the cab like the pictures that John posted on his web site. Gary might know but is it possible that some of these models didn't use this center mount???

hey john . nice pics of the cab mounts, thanx a zillion.I too am working on a 46 .the floor was bad but not real well done .my problem is the (*&%^&( that did it used 1" angle to create the slope of the foot plate to the floor .worked great inside , howevere that left a 1" rib on the bottom completely across. thus this rib now sits on top of the front blockes .raising the cab front to high, I sloted the blockes to accomadate this and worked ok . but now I see a better way , thanks.
