Question Momentary Engine Stall

I have a 2004 Ford F-150 with 64K miles and a 5.4L Triton. I just purchased this truck and love it! Weirdest problem (I can get this to happen fairly consistently 8 out of 10 times above 55mph) cruise can be engaged or not engaged, when you come off the accelerator and the rpm decreases between 1500-2000rpm the light on the dash turns red, you feel the truck "drag", the battery light illuminates, the gauges decrease slightly, and the dash lights dim. The truck accelerator is unresponsive and the "drag" lasts for roughly 3 seconds. Everything else returns within a second or two. If cruise is engaged it is turned completely off. This has happened sometimes at any speed but never while ON the accelerator. If it's going to occur, it happens when coming off the gas. Any suggestions?
