Any ideas if they treat a frame as vehicle? Want to go down to S. Washington to get a frame for my mom's 68 Galaxy. Just not sure if they'd need the serial and 72hrs. Still have to look into it further. Mind sendin that info to me as well?

Hmmmm......As a parts vehicle eh? I'd assume you'd still have to have the title cleared with US customs then. I'll have to do some research tonight. See what I can find on-line anyways. What do you know of bringing back something like a frame or a parts car?

I got your email, ill send you that document I got when 66 sends me his email.

I called and asked about that, and I dont recall exactly, but I know the guy said that he didnt reccomend I do that, because if I ever wanted to register it, theres no way I would be able too.

Let me know what you come up with though.

Seems like there are alot of hoops a person has to jump through. I sometimes wonder if they do that on purpose so you finally give up cause it's just to much work.

Thats the way when dealing with any gov. organization. Maybe if the hoops were more colorful it would be more fun.

I'm not worried about registration the car already has that. Been house sitting with no comp. so haven't been able to do my research yet.

They should offer a hoop discount. The more hoops the bigger the discount.

So what have you come up with? Are you going to buy something across the line or is it not really worth it in the long run.

I think on some things it is worth the effort. My brother went this last summer and bought quad, and saved thousands, and not much effort to heal across, two guys went, and both saved on the trip together. So much for the free trade agreement!

A guy I worked with has a buddy who flew him down to Texas so he could help with the drive back. He bought a truck and picked up a sled on the way back.
