93 4.6 for 93 4.9
1993 E-150 has 4.9L 6cyl 145hp
I have available 93 4.6 V8 430 hp..(from Lincoln Mark VIII with mods)
Is this a simple bolt / plug in????
Harness match???
Van weighs same as car, different gearing in rear end... but should pull much better...
Is it worth taking 76K mile 4.6 out of $1500 car to put in a great road van? We have a band and we travel in the van. Would love to tow a trailer but the 4.9 won't pull out it's own way.

it will require wiring harness, tranny changes etc.. better option would be to locate an 351w and swap in.

I'd go with the 351W also... its a better match and there are plenty of performance parts for the 351W should you get power hungry.

What will I have to change? Will I need a complete donor?

Mounts and exhaust are the main hard parts, you'll probably need the computer or at least a reflash of your current one, and you'll need the wiring harness for the V8, all easy things to find in a junkyard.
