Whats the biggest tire i can run with stock suspension.....

Hello everyone my name is paul i am new to this forum and i am from NJ......

So i have this 1991 f250 work truck that i want to put some tires on. It has these nasty steel RUSTY wheels on it now and i want to put aluminum wheels or something decent on there with the biggest tire possible WITHOUT lifting the truck. i was going to put some BFG all terian tires on but i don't know what size to get. Any help would really be great..... thanks Paul

And i don't want to get anything to expensive. i want to stay in the $800-$900 range for wheels and tires

Depending on how sagging your front springs are, you can put 33"s on. Most go with a little smaller as the springs are usually crying up front.

Assuming this truck is a 4x4, 33x12.50 will work with 16.5x10 rims. My friends 93 F-350 4x4 is running 35's with no lift.

I have an F350 with 36's but thats a different moster from a F250. F250's dont sit as high as an F350.

If you are replacing the rims as well, you may want to look into something other than the 16.5s. Your choices of tire brands are getting slimmer.
Also realise that a larger diameter tire is going to affect your gearing. Do you do any towing or hauling?

The stock F250 spring pack should have 2 leafs in it, My F350 has 2. I would like to get a helper leaf but i dont want to lift the front as it looks good now.

hi Paul. welcome to F.T.E.
where abouts in jersey are you located??
i have both 33 and 35 inch tires on aluminum rims you can try fitting on your truck.
i am in Middlesex county, near south amboy. if you are close, i don't mind helping you make a decision on tire size.
