What additives are safe to use on our trucks? Buddy at school said he dumped bottle of injector cleaner in his and got 20+ mpg driving to Missouri. His truck is identical to mine but a 95'. the best ive seen is 18 and thats with intake and straight piped. What can i do for better mpg other than my right foot?
I always use power service, the one in the white bottle. I buy it by the gallon and keep it and a measuring cup in my truck so I can put a little in whenever I fill up. It seems to help with mileage a bit, but not right now cause I got a leak
I use stanadyne it works great and has a little more lube in it than diesel power products. i used the dpp before but the stanadyne works better with better fuel millage.
Stanadyne Makes The Injector Pumps For Diesels So They No Whats Good For Them, Also Approved By Ford And Chevy. Go To There Web Site And Type In Your Zip Code And It Will Bring A List Of Your Local Dealers Nearest You. If You Cant Find It Give Me Your Zip And I Will Get It For You.
Another vote Power Service... White in winter and gray in summer. Haven't used syanadyne personally so I can't say anything about it. Prob also a very good product if the guys here are using it. Hope this helps
I got looking at their lit. and saw john deere's winter blend has identical results but only 1 cetene pt lower. Whats the price of standadyne? I can get the JD for $5.60/pint treats 56 gallons
